We had the first really nice “winter” day of the season, so we bundled up and headed to the hill.  The snow was hard packed and fast so we mostly have pictures of playing at the bottom (and Nolan dumping Grant on his head while trying to pull him up the hill).

A successful adventure:  fun had by most – most of the time – and no serious injuries!

After the Brockville Christmas, we headed up to Ottawa for even more presents.  The kids had lots of fun playing with their new stuff in the basement, which was nice for everybody.  Grant still is taking his Lightning McQueen car everywhere he goes.

We had a great Christmas morning in Brockville – we even got to sleep in until 7:30 (thanks Nolan!).

Grant really loved his Lightning McQueen race car.  He has barely stopped playing with it since he opened it.  Summer and winter Calgary Flames hats will be appreciated as well.  Grant liked his so much he wanted to do a self-portrait.

Jonathon and Vero were able to come to Brockville for a visit before Christmas as part of their swing through Ottawa and Montreal.  It was great to see them and the kids again.  There was traditional holiday activities like “sit around the ipad listening to Christmas songs from YouTube”.  We opened their gifts before they had to head out to Montreal, so Christmas for the kids started early.

Today we put together the gingerbread house that came our way from Calgary.  Nolan and Annella had a great time putting it together.  Things around here are beginning to look at lot like Christmas…
